McCoy, Jody and Sage’s Cookbook: Vegetarian Food that Tastes Good

Vodka Martinis

2 oz vodka, ½ oz vermouth

Shake or stir over ice and serve on the rocks or strain into a chilled cocktail glass.


3 fresh mint sprigs

2 tsp sugar

3 tbs fresh lime juice

1 ½ oz light rum

club soda

In a tall thin glas, crush part of the mint with a fork to coat the inside. Add the sugar and lime juice and stir thoroughly. Top with ice. Add rum and mix. Top off with chilled club soda.


2 part vodka

1 part Cointreau

2-3 part cranberry juice

Squeezed lemon or lime

Stir or shake with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a slice of lemon.  The shakers or stirrers debate on the best method. Try both and decide which you like.
